Francesco Marconi is the R&D Chief at The Wall Street Journal. He was recognized by MediaShift as one of the top 20 digital media innovators and named to the 25 under 35 next generation of publishing leaders by Editor & Publisher Magazine.
Prior to WSJ he managed strategy at the Associated Press and led automation and artificial intelligence efforts.
Francesco is an affiliate researcher at MIT Media Lab and a Tow Fellow at Columbia University.His ideas have been featured on the World Economic Forum, Inc. Magazine, Huffington Post, PBS Media Shift, Quartz and MIT Media.
Francesco's first book "Live Like Fiction" was published in July 2017. His second book "Newsmakers: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Journalism” will be published in early 2019.
